Welcome To Clay Target Shooting on the Fraser Coast
Maryborough Clay Target Club is the premier Clay Target shooting club on the Fraser Coast specialising in Trap and Compak Sporting Clays. Set in picturesque surroundings in Maryborough Qld, we are a not-for-profit, community spirited sporting club. Clay target shooting is an inclusive outdoor family sport, suitable for all skill levels. Our facilities and equipment are world class. We welcome visitors and new shooters. We provide a structured, safe environment for participants to learn about safe handling of firearms, receive coaching and participate in social and competitive shooting events.

Trap Shooting
Trapshooting, also called clay-pigeon shooting, or down-the-line (DTL) shooting, is a sport in which participants use shotguns for shooting at saucer-shaped clay targets flung into the air from a spring device called a trap.

Compak Sporting
Like Sporting Clays, Compak Sporting is designed to emulate hunting scenarios using clay targets instead of live game. Unlike Sporting Clays, Compak Sporting is shot over a compact layout with the shooting stands between 1 to 5 metres apart. This greatly reduces the time required to complete a round while maintaining a similar level of difficulty and variation in the targets to Sporting Clays. This small footprint also provides the ability to set a range over our existing DTL layouts.

25 Targets, Ammunition, Firearm, Safety gear and Coaching provided. Shooters license not required, Photo Id is a must. All skill levels , 15+ age limit required to participate (minors must be accompanied by parents or legal guardians)
