Annual High Guns 1987
The inaugural Australia Day shoot was held at Gympie in 1988. More than 90 shooters from Gympie, Bundaberg, Maryborough, Sunshine Coast, Kingaroy, Central Burnett, Mungungo and Brisbane competed. The event was the brainchild of North Coast Regional Superintendent Jim Wilson, to honour Australia Day and raise money for deserving local charities. The winning team was Maryborough - Les Greensill, Grahame Noffke, Jeff Schmidt, Peter Shaw and Andy Wood
